In the instant petition, petitioner has prayed for following reliefs:- "For issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent to consider the cases of the petitioner for his regular promotion to the post of Bihar Agriculture Service, Category-I, Agronomy in the scales of

Patna High Court CWJC No.14890 of 2007(6) dt.14-07-2022 2/2 pay of Rs. 3700-5000 and then Rs. 41005300 with consequential financial benefits thereof, with effect from not later than 01.02.1997, the date on which he joined as District Agriculture Officer, Sahebganj, till 31.07.1998, the date on which he superannuated from that post, or in the alternative, pay to him the salary of the post of District Agriculture Officer, from 01.02.1997 to 31.07.1998 during which period he continuously and independently worked as District Agriculture Officer, Sahebganj, on the basis of the Government of Bihar, Department of Agriculture Notification No. 2179 dated 31.12.1996, with all consequential monetary benefits thereof, including interest upon the difference of arrears of salary."

Perusal of the records it is evident that petitioner's grievance relating to promotion has been rejected on 13.07.2007 vide Annexure-4. Petitioner has not questioned the validity of rejection order dated 13.07.2007. In the result, the petitioner is not entitled to relief sought in the petition.
