JUSTICE BIBEK CHAUDHURI ORAL ORDER 03-09-2024 The petitioner was appointed as Sub-Inspector of Police at Sitamarhi. He retired from service on attainment of age of superannuation on 30th of April, 2021. After his retirement, the State Government engaged him for one year w.e.f. 11th of December, 2022 to 10th of December, 2023. During the said period of re-employment, the petitioner discharged his service to the satisfaction of the respondents. However, respondents failed and neglected to pay his salary and other emoluments, which he is entitled to get. The petitioner submitted series of representations on 7th of July, 2023, 7th of October, 2023 and 24th

Patna High Court CWJC No.12837 of 2024(2) dt.03-09-2024 2/2 of November, 2023, requesting the Inspector General of Police, Muzzafarpur, to release his salary but the respondents turned deaf ear to the petitioner's request. Hence, the instant writ petition.

Without going through the merits of the case, the instant writ petition is disposed of directing the Respondent Nos. 4, 5 and 6 to dispose of the above-mentioned representation of the petitioner within 30 days from the date of this order and disburse his arrears salary for one year during the period of which he rendered his service in the department controlled by the Police Department.

3. Such representation shall be disposed of by a reasoned order giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, if necessary, within 60 days from the date of this order in accordance with law.
