The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Jankinagar P.S. Case No. 168 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Section(s) 302 of the Indian Penal Code. The allegation is regarding the recovery of a naked dead body of a woman lying in Naulakhi Dhar river. During the course of investigation, it transpired that the family members of the said lady got her killed since she was claiming partition of land. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as far as the petitioner is concerned, he is the father of the deceased lady and merely on the basis of suspicion, he has been dragged in the present case. It is further submitted that the petitioner has a clean antecedent and is languishing in custody since 26.09.2017.

No.26534 of 2018 (3) dt.29-05-2018 2/2 It is further submitted that similarly situated co-accused persons have also been granted bail by this Court by an order dated 29.03.2018 passed in Cr. Misc.No.10038 of 2018 and order dated 29.04.2018 passed in Cr. Misc. No.24006 of 2018. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (rupees Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purnia, in connection with Jankinagar P.S. Case No. 168 of 2017.
