The petitioners seek bail in connection with Excise Case No. 184 of 2021 instituted for the offences under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Excise Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are in custody since 22.10.2021, are persons with clean antecedent and prosecution report has been submitted in the case.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the allegation is of recovery of 842.76 litres of liquor from a Bolero

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are driver and co-driver of the pickup van and as such were not aware what was loaded in the aforesaid pickup van by the owner of the pickup van.

Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioners.

Considering the fact that the petitioners are in custody since 22.10.2021, are persons with clean antecedent and prosecution report has been submitted in the case, let the petitioners above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge (Excise), Purnia in connection with Excise Case No. 184 of 2021.
