The petitioner has filed the present writ petition for a direction to the respondents to pay salary for the period November, 2016 onwards.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that after valid appointment the petitioner has been working but he has not been paid salary from November, 2016 onwards.

The issue as to payment of salary requires factual enquiry for which the District Programme Officer

Patna High Court CWJC No.16722 of 2019(2) dt.19-08-2019 2/2 (Establishment), Gopalganj is the competent authority. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Programme Officer (Establishment), Gopalganj to verify the records and after verification if he comes to the conclusion that the petitioner has worked for the period he is claiming salary, the District Programme Officer shall ensure payment of salary for the period the petitioner has worked. Necessary decision in this regard must be taken by the respondent-District Programme Officer (Establishment), Gopalganj at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
