The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Kotwali P.S. Case No. 29 of 2017 dated 28.01.2017 instituted for the offences under Sections 20/22 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

The petitioner along with one other was found to be in possession of 6 Kgs of Ganja which was being carried on a bicycle. On search, the petitioner and his associate are said to have disclosed that they were paid Rs. 500/- each for carrying the same.

The petitioner is in custody since 29.01.2017 and he does not have any criminal antecedent. Taking into account the quantity of narcotics

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.56569 of 2017 (2) dt.29-11-2017 2/2 recovered and the period in custody, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

The petitioner, above named is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousand) with sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge, Munger in connection with Kotwali P.S. Case No. 29 of 2017.
