The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case under Sections 306, 384/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 67 of the Information and Technology Act.

The father of the deceased made allegation that the marriage of his daughter was settled with Prem Chand @ Ranveer Kumar of Village Mallidpur, P.S. Sahebpur Kamal. It is further alleged that Prem Chand @ Ranveer Kumar informed the informant on telephone that one P.K. @ Prahalad Mandal, S/o Rajendra Mandal, of Village Ratan sent him some photographs of his daughter and a letter stating that he had love affairs with the daughter of the inforamnt and if she is married to Ranveer Kumar, he would make the objectionable photographs of his daughter viral. The petitioner is also alleged to have threatened the

It is submitted that it has come during the course of investigation that the petitioner had love affairs with the deceased but the petitioner did not send any photograph to the father of the bride-groom nor demanded any money. The petitioner was assaulted by the relatives of the bride and the petitioner is said to have made an attempt to commit suicide but he survived and the girl died. There is no involvement of the petitioner in any way in breaking the marriage of the bride. From perusal of the F.I.R. and the case diary, it appears that there is a very specific allegation that the petitioner sent many objectionable photographs of the bride to the father of the bride-groom and, on such, the negotiation of marriage of the bride deceased was broken. The petitioner also threatened to make the objectionable photographs of the bride viral and asked the father of the bride to pay rupees one lakh.

Having considered the facts aforesaid and the nature of allegations made against the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the above named petitioner on anticipatory bail in Gogri P.S. Case No. 182/2015. Accordingly, the same is rejected. (Prabhat Kumar Jha, J) Dilip/- U T
