The petitioners seek regular bail in connection with Special Case No. 11 of 2017 arising out of NCB/PZU/V/02/2017 P.S. Case No. 227 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 8, 20 of the N.D.P.S. Act.

The allegation is that huge quantity of Ganja totalling to 695.250 kg. has been recovered from a truck and the petitioners were apprehended from the spot.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that

Per contra, the learned counsel for the Union of India has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

Having regard to the fact that such a huge quantity of Ganja has been recovered and the petitioners have been caught red handed from the spot, there is no merit in the present petition. Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed. (Mohit Kumar Shah, J) BTiwary/-Md Rashid U T
