The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Saharsa Special (Excise) Case No. 561 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.
The allegation is regarding recovery of 116 liters of country made illicit liquor from a Sumo vehicle. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is neither driver nor the owner of the said vehicle and he was merely a co-passenger who had taken lift in the said vehicle. It is further submitted that the petitioner has a clean antecedent and he is in custody since 24.11.2017. Considering the nature of accusation, the period of
