The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with Murar P.S. Case No. 126 of 2021 for the offence registered under Section 302, 201/34 I.P.C.

The prosecution story, in brief, is that informant's son Basant Kumar @ Daroga Yadav went out from his house to attend call of nature but did not return home. The informant and her family members started searching him. Later, he came to know that his son was killed and the dead body was thrown in the 'Khadhar' of Bishedra Singh and the same was identified him.

Earlier a report was called for vide order dated 08.09.2023 which has since been received vide letter no. 137 dated 26.09.2023 and as per it, the 11 witnesses have already

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.57542 of 2023(3) dt.10-11-2023 2/2 been examined and the case is likely to be concluded. Considering the fact that the petitioner has remained in custody since 30.11.2021 (as stated in paragraph -15 of the bail application), it would be appropriate that the same is concluded preferably within a period of four months. The bail application stands rejected with the aforesaid observations.
