2. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner who is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the S.D.O. Civil, Araria to whom the matter of cancellation of the petitioner's PDS license was remanded by the District Magistrate, Araria in Appeal No. 36/2007-08.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner invites attention to the appellate order in the aforesaid appeal which was disposed of on 12.02.2008 by which the matter was remanded to the S.D.O., Araria with certain observations.

4. This Court takes note that the order in question was

Patna High Court CWJC No.1769 of 2015 dt.06-11-2017 passed by the District Magistrate as far back as on 12.02.2008 and the petitioner has not been able to demonstrate any valid reason for approaching this Court after an inordinate delay of almost seven years by filing the present writ petition in December, 2014.

5. In view of the delay and laches on the part of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to interfere in the matter. The writ petition stands dismissed.
