The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No. 769 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 302, 201 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The allegation is regarding the accused persons having killed the victim lady on account of non-fulfillment of demand for dowry. The petitioner happens to be the father-in-law of the deceased lady.
The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the admitted fact is that the room from where the dead body of the victim lady was recovered was closed from inside and thereafter the Police had arrived and broken the door whereupon the dead body of the victim lady was recovered. Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.25780 of 2018 (4) dt.06-07-2018 2/2 that the petitioner being the father-in-law has got no complicity in the matter and is languishing in custody since 10.12.2017. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.C.J.M., I/C, Gaya in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No. 769 of 2017.
