1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "I. For directing the respondents, particularly the respondent-Sub Divisional Officer, Birpur, from harassing the petitioners at the behest of the father of the petitioner no.1, who had filed a complaint dated 15.07.2024, under the provisions

Patna High Court CWJC No.14871 of 2024(2) dt.30-09-2024 2/3 of the "Maintenance & Welfare of Parents & Senior Citizens Act, 2007". The petitioner no.2 is the wife of the petitioner no.1, whose Father-inlaw, Mother-in-law, elder brother-in-law have developed ill & rude behavior with her right from the beginning of the year 2015, when she got married with the petitioner no.1. The case in hand is a case of property dispute, hence the entire proceedings, being arbitrary & coercive in nature, is fit to be set aside by the Hon'ble Court. II. For further directing the respondents to pay cost of the case for causing physical, mental & financial harassment as well as for abusing/ misusing the law."

It is the complaint of the petitioners that the SubDivisional Officer, Supaul and the Station House Officer, Bhimnagar, District-Supaul are harassing the petitioners, at the behest of the private respondents no.7 to 10, hence, the Ld. Counsel for the petitioners seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to approach the District Magistrate, Supaul, for redressal of their aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted. It is needless to state that in case the petitioners file appropriate petition before the District Magistrate, Supaul, within a period of two weeks from today, the same shall be examined, in accordance with law, forthwith.
