Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court, vide order dated 17.4.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No.14511 of 2017, with a direction to the learned trial court to expedite the trial of the petitioner.

Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that in spite of direction of this Court no such progress has been made in the trial and the petitioner is in custody since long as well as other co-accused persons have been granted bail. Heard learned A.P.P. also.

Having heard both sides and in view of the fact that earlier the case had been rejected on merit, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, since the petitioner is in custody since long, the learned trial court is directed to expedite

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.1688 of 2018 (2) dt.10-01-2018 2/2 the trial and conclude it as soon as possible. At the same time, the S.P., Gaya is directed to see that the witnesses are produced in the court concerned on the date fixed, so that the trial may be concluded within the period as specified.
