The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Darbhanga Town P.S. Case No.94 of 2017 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 387 and 389 of the Indian Penal Code.
It has been submitted that the present case has been registered against one Raunak Singh, who had demanded ransom of Rs.10 lacs. The said Raunak Singh was apprehended and confessed his complicity in the crime and disclosed the name of this petitioner. The said co-accused Raunak Singh has been allowed bail by one of the coordinate Bench of this Court in Cr.Misc.No.10694 of 2018 on 23.02.2018. The case of this
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.29539 of 2018 (3) dt.29-06-2018 petitioner stands on similar footing. The petitioner is in custody since 01.11.2017.
The learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the submission.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the prayer of bail is allowed. The petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Darbhanga in connection with Darbhanga Town P.S. Case No.94 of 2017.
