By making this application, under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has sought for direction to the respondents to investigate Gopalganj (Town) P.S. Case No.341 of 2015 properly and take action against the accused in accordance with law.

By filing a counter affidavit, respondent Nos.5 to 7,

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.381 of 2016 (2) dt.21-07-2016 2/2 namely, Superintendent of Police, Gopalganj, Officer-in-Charge, Gopalganj (Town) Police Station, Gopalganj and Investigating Officers of Gopalganj Town P.S. Case No.341 of 2015 respectively have averred to the effect that four of the accused have already been arrested and the investigation is in progress. Having regard to the nature of grievances, which have been expressed by the petitioner, and the relevant materials on record, including the averments made in the counter affidavit, it is hereby directed that respondent No.5, namely, the Superintendent of Police, Gopalganj, shall enquire into the grievances raised in the writ petition, do the needful in accordance with law and get the investigation of Gopalganj Town P.S. Case No.341 of 2015 completed expeditiously, preferably, within a period of six months ensuring proper, fair and effective investigation in such a way that no innocent person is harassed. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
