The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with Wazirganj P.S. Case No.98 of 2020 (G.R. No.998/2020) instituted under Sections 341, 323, 504, 307, 379/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the FIR, the informant has alleged that the petitioner gave an iron rod blow on the head of the informant's brother Krishna Kant Singh and the injury report shows that the same was grievous in nature.

Considering the aforesaid fact that specific allegation of hitting the informant's brother on his head by an iron rod which the doctor have opined to be grievous in nature, this
