1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The petitioner has filed the present writ application seeking correction of her mother's name from Manju Devi to Renu Devi in the mark-sheet and certificate of matriculation issued by the C.B.S.E.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner passed C.B.S.E. 10th examination in the year 2019 having Roll No. 7162450 from Indraprastha International School, Bochaha, Muzaffarpur. The petitioner was admitted in

Patna High Court CWJC No.12429 of 2024(2) dt.17-04-2025 2/3 that school in Class-2 in the year 2010 and at the time of admission, the mother's name of the petitioner was declared as Renu Devi which would be evident from Annexure-P/1. In the mark-sheet and certificate issued by the C.B.S.E., the name of the petitioner's mother has wrongly been typed as Manju Devi instead of Renu Devi. The petitioner submitted a representation/application before the C.B.S.E for correction of her mother's name. The concerned school sent a letter dated 24.05.2023 to the Regional Officer, C.B.S.E recommending the correction of mother's name of the petitioner from Manju Devi to Renu Devi.

On the other hand, learned counsel for the C.B.S.E submits that the petitioner may be directed to file detailed representation along with contemporaneous document showing her mother's name as Renu Devi before the Regional Officer, C.B.S.E., Patna who will consider the representation and take a final decision within a reasonable time.

5. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the nature of prayer made in this writ application, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh representation along with all the contemporaneous and necessary documents regarding the correct name of her mother

Patna High Court CWJC No.12429 of 2024(2) dt.17-04-2025 3/3 within a period of 15 days before the Regional Officer, C.B.S.E., Patna and if such representation is filed with necessary documents, the Regional Officer, C.B.S.E. shall take a final decision in accordance with law within a maximum period of three months from the date of filing of representation.

6. With the aforesaid observation(s), the writ petition stands disposed of.
