The petitioner being the husband of the complainant is apprehending his arrest in a complaint case wherein processes have been directed to be issued after cognizance being taken for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420 and 498A of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

The accusation is of torture for non-fulfillment of the dowry demand.

The matter was referred to the Mediation Centre of State Legal Services Authority vide order dated 02.07.2015

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.10549 of 2015 (4) dt.21-09-2015 2/2 on the joint prayer of the parties. The report of the Mediator dated 15.09.2015 at Flag 'X' reflects that the issue has been resolved through the process of mediation. The petitioner agreed to keep the complainant with dignity and honour and offer of the petitioner was accepted by the complainant. Both sides agree to withdraw all the cases filed from either side as per the terms of the agreement.

Considering the present stand of the parties, let the above named petitioner be released on anticipatory bail in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of twelve weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate, West Champaran at Bettiah in connection with Complaint Case No. 1840(C) of 2014, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
