The petitioner is in custody in connection with Barhara P.S. Case No. 33 of 2009 for the offence registered under Sections 498(a) and 304(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. As per the allegation, the petitioner, who is husband, was part of the incident by which it is alleged that Kerosene oil was poured on the body of the victim lady and she was burnt to death.

The matter is of the year 2009, the petitioner is the husband of the victim lady and he had audacity to finally come within the judicial net in 2021 i.e. 12 years after the occurrence. Considering the aforesaid attitude of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief to him. The bail application is hereby rejected.
