JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 15-09-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that he has applied for and was granted Arms Licence no. 13/89 issued by the S.D.O., Patna Sadar and he was holding his firearm under his licence. However, the aforesaid arms licence was declared illegal in view of the amendment incorporated in the Arms Act. Accordingly, arms licence become invalid. In that background another application was made before the District Magistrate, Bhojpur which was sent by speed post. However, no decision has been taken till date. Having regards to the aforementioned facts and circumstances mentioned above this writ application is being

Patna High Court CWJC No.4945 of 2015 dt.15-09-2015 2/2 disposed of with direction to the District Magistrate cum licensing authority, Bhojpur to take a decision in the matter of the petitioner expeditiously but not later than three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

While passing the order he will consider the order passed by a Single Bench of this Court in C.W.J.C. No. 782 of 2009 dated 1.8.2013 as well as the order dated 10.8.2015 passed in C.W.J.C. No.12184/2014 by this Court.
