The petitioner is apprehending arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act.

It is alleged that 7 packets of wheat of State Food Corporation were intercepted from a vehicle, the driver suggested that he purchased the same from the petitioner being PDS dealer.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the accusation has been levelled on the statement of driver of the seized vehicle whereas letter no. 69 dated 23.07.2014 issued by the Block Supply Officer, contained at annexure -2, suggests that the stock was found in order. Considering the aforesaid facts, let the above named petitioner be released on anticipatory bail, in the event of arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of 12 weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of `10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Saran in connection with Taraiya P.S.
