The petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail in a case registered under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier application for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 9.7.2021 (Annexure-1) passed in Cr. Misc. no.8373 of 2021 giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail on completing 1 year in custody. The petitioner has remained in custody since 13.11.2020 i.e for more than one year.

Heard learned A.P.P. for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.67221 of 2021(2) dt.08-12-2021 2/2 taking into consideration the facts of the case, liberty grated by the aforesaid order of rejection dated 9.7.2021 together with the petitioner having remained in custody for more than 1 year, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with G.O.No. 230 of 2020 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge-II-cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Madhubani.
