JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 25-09-2023 Heard Mr. Amaresh Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners; Mr. Madanjeet Kumar, learned GP-20 and Mr. (Dr.) Anand Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent Nos.4 and 5.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara submits that the petitioners have already represented before the Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Government of Bihar with respect to the payment of arrears on account of 7th Pay Revision from 01.04.2017 to 31.03.2019.

3. The petitioners, in support of their claims, informs that the petitioners are receiving their pension but till date arrears have not been paid.

4. Considering the admitted position by the University with respect to the petitioners, the Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Government of Bihar is directed to take steps with respect to the redressal of the grievances of the petitioners, who have not been paid financial up-gradation on account of benefit of 7th Pay Revision from the date the

5. The Registrar of the University is directed to produce the service particulars relating to the petitioners before the Additional Chief Secretary within one or two days without delay and assist the Additional Chief Secretary with respect to individual cases of the petitioners, who are retired teachers of Shershah College, Sasaram.

6. Payment of arrears for the period in question is directed to be paid to the petitioners in accordance with law within the aforesaid period of four weeks without fail.

7. In case, the Registrar of the University or any authorities of the University delay in producing the service particulars relating to the individual petitioners of the present writ petition, the petitioners are at liberty to take appropriate legal action against them.

8. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
