Though the present writ petition has been filed for directing the State respondents to protect the petitioner from his youngest son, who is engaging in criminal activities, however, at the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the competent Court/Authority, by filing appropriate petition under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. Liberty so sought is granted.
