2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Maheshkhunt P.S. Case No. 58 of 2025 registered for the offences punishable u/s 308(5), 351(2) and 351(3) of the B.N.S.
3. As per the prosecution case, the informant is the owner of a shop, namely, Mamta Tiles situated at N.H. 107, north side of Kharoddha bridge. On 14.01.2025, when the informant opened the said shop, he found a letter demanding ransom amount of Rs. 3,00,000/- and after few days on 05.04.2025 he again received a threat message on his mobile phone and further demanded Rs. 5,00,000/- as ransom and disclosed his name as Ravindra Kumar Rathore.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case by the police to save the real culprit, namely, Krishna Kumar. The allegation against the petitioner is general and omnibus is nature. The petitioner has one criminal antecedent as stated in para 3 of the bail petition. The petitioner is in custody since 12.04.2025.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the bail petition of the petitioner. It is further stated that from perusal of the case diary it is evident that a mobile phone was received from the pocket of the petitioner, in which the said threat message was found for demanding an extortion money, hence, he does not deserve the liberty of bail.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the nature of the allegation being general and omnibus as well as the period of custody, the petitioner above-named, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court concerned, Khagaria, in connection with Maheshkhunt P.S. Case No. 58 of 2025, with a condition/s:- (i). The petitioner is directed to remain physically present before the learned Court below
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.56547 of 2025(2) dt.27-08-2025 3/3 on each and every date, failing which on two consecutive dates without reasonable cause, the bail bond of the petitioner is liable to be cancelled.
