JUSTICE PARTHA SARTHY ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) Date : 10-01-2025 The above writ petition is filed as a public interest litigation to bring to the notice of this Court the dismal infrastructure in the Civil Courts of Bihar. The petitioner has specifically spoken about the lack of infrastructure facilities in the Civil Courts at Danapur, Patna City, Patna Sadar, Barh, Masaurhi and the Paliganj Sub division. A counter affidavit has been filed by the Executive Engineers of the building divisions specifically pointing out that the District Level Monitoring
Patna High Court CWJC No.17838 of 2019 dt.10-01-2025 2/2 Committee and the Security Audit committee meetings are conducted on a regular basis by the District Judge of Patna and the directions issued are complied with. The Executive Engineer, Patna Building Division has also filed a counter affidavit pointing out the various facilities provided. We also observe that the infrastructure facilities of the Civil Courts are regularly monitored by the Committee of the Hon'ble Judges of the High Court.
2. We are of the opinion that the public interest litigation is not necessary to be initiated at this point. We, hence, reject the writ petition and also notice that none appeared for the writ petitioner when the matter was called.
