13-08-2015 Heard Sri Uma Shankar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.C. to Govt. Pleader - 19. The petitioner, invoking writ jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, has prayed for directing the respondents, particularly; respondent no. 2/District Magistrate, Rohtas, who is appellate authority to dispose of Forest Appeal No. 91 of 2014. Besides this, in the writ petition, a prayer was also made for directing the provisional release of the vehicle in question, however; at the time of argument, learned counsel for the petitioner confined his prayer only to the extent of directing respondent no. 2 to take final decision in the Forest Appeal No. 91 of 2014.

Patna High Court CWJC No.7893 of 2015 (2) dt.13-08-2015 2/2 Keeping in view the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the Court is of the opinion that without calling for counter affidavit, the writ petition can be disposed of with an observation that the respondent no. 2 may take appropriate step so that Forest Appeal No. 91 of 2014 may come to its logical end without unnecessary delay, preferably; within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
