Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Jadopur PS Case No. 124 of 2020 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, very fairly submits that all prosecution witnesses have been examined and the case has been fixed for argument, but then it is submitted that the prosecution is adopting a lingering attitude. 4.

Learned APP submits that since prosecution evidence has been closed and the case is fixed for argument as submitted by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as such, no useful purpose would be served by

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.62868 of 2024(2) dt.13-12-2024 2/2 releasing the petitioner on bail at this stage. 5.

After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, the Court is not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. 6.

However, if the prosecution evidence has been closed and the case is at the stage of argument, the Court expects that the trial would be concluded finally within a period of three months from today.
