Waliur Rahman, learned Counsel, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, and Md. Nadim Seraj, learned Government Pleader No.5, appearing on behalf of the State-respondents.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the investigation of Saraiya Police Station Case No.298 of 2013, registered on 25.10.2013, is not being conducted properly and effectively.
By filling counter affidavit, respondent No.4, namely, Senior Superintendent of Police, Muzaffarpur, has submitted to the effect that the investigation is being carried out. We do not find any infirmity in the investigation, which is being carried out. In view of the above and in the interest of justice, it is hereby directed that respondent No.4, namely, Senior
Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.791 of 2016 (2) dt.30-08-2016 2/2 Superintendent of Police, Muzaffarpur, shall enquire into the grievances raised in the writ petition, do the needful in accordance with law and get the investigation of Saraiya P.S. Case No.298 of 2013 completed expeditiously, preferably, within a period of six months, ensuring proper, fair and effective investigation in such a way that no innocent person is harassed.
Let a copy of this order be sent forthwith to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Muzaffarpur, and Officer-inCharge, Saraiya Police Station. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
