2. The petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence under Sections 85, 80(2), 38, 61(2), 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023.

3. It is a case of 'Dowry Death'. As per F.I.R., daughter of informant was married with co-accused Chandra Shekhar Paswan on 26.07.2019 and after the marriage, she was subjected to cruelty and harassment by the accused persons for dowry and ultimately, on 29.11.2024, the accused persons killed informant's daughter.

Petitioner no. 1 is mother-in-law, petitioner no. 2 is father-in-law and petitioner no. 3 is brother-in-law of the deceased and have been made accused merely because they are family members of husband of deceased. There is general and omnibus allegation against petitioners. Petitioners are separate in mess and property and have got no concern with the family affairs of deceased and her husband.

Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail of petitioners and submits that there is specific and direct allegation that these petitioners along with other co-accused persons tortured the deceased for dowry and due to non-fulfillment of same, they badly assaulted and killed her and also tried to dispose of her dead-body without informing informant & other family members. The deceased died at her matrimonial house within seven years of marriage in an unnatural circumstances.

6. Considering the same, the prayer for anticipatory bail of petitioners is rejected.
