The petitioner, who is in custody, seeks bail in a case registered under Section 304B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code in connection with Navhatta PS Case No. 12 of 2019 (S. Tr. No. 257 of 2019).

It is submitted by petitioner's Counsel that because the victim was a short tampered lady she has committed suicide. Learned APP has opposed the prayer for bail.

The FIR discloses demand of dowry and the allegation is that the victim (daughter of the informant) was hanged to death and was brought down with the help of local public. Motive has also been stated in the FIR. Considering gravity of the allegation this Court for the present is not inclined to allow prayer for bail. The same is rejected.
