1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned A.P.P. for the State.

2. Though the present petition is by way of second attempt at the behest of the petitioner for grant of regular bail in connection with Triveniganj P.S. Case No.176 of 2021, for the offences punishable under Sections 395 and 397 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act, however, the learned counsel for the petitioner has, at the outset, submitted that the learned Trial Court be directed to expedite the proceedings and conclude the trial at an early date, however, in case the trial is not concluded within a period of one year from today, the petitioner be granted liberty to renew his prayer for grant of regular bail.

3. Having regard to the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner in the present case, though I deem it fit and proper to direct the learned Trial Court to expedite the aforesaid proceedings and conclude the trial, preferably within a period of one year from today, nonetheless, the petitioner is granted liberty to renew his prayer for bail, in case there is no substantial progress in the criminal proceeding, pending before the learned Trial Court.

4. Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed off as not pressed.
