The present application has been filed to direct the appellate authority, specially, respondent No.4, namely, the Deputy Collector Land Reforms, Sadar, Purnea to dispose of the Mutation Appeal No.77 of 2019-20 filed by the petitioner which is pending before him since last three years against the statutory provisions laid down under Section 7(4) of the Bihar Land

Patna High Court CWJC No.12461 of 2023(2) dt.08-09-2023 2/2 Mutation Act, 2011 (Act 23 of 2011) which talks about the time limit for the disposal of a mutation appeal shall be thirty (30) working days from the date of the filing of the mutation appeal.

3. Learned counsel for the State submits that a direction may be given to respondent No.4 to disposed the appeal filed by the petitioner within the statutory period.

4. As such, the present writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.4, namely, the Deputy Collector Land Reforms, Sadar, Purnea to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner in view of the provision of Section 7(4) of the Bihar Land Mutation Act, 2011 (Act 23 of 2011).

5. With the above observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
