The petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to the respondents to grant benefit of MACP. The petitioner was appointed initially in the year 1976 and superannuated in in 2014. The benefit of MACP was extended to teachers on the conditions of MACP Rules 2010 and as such the respondents have to take appropriate decision with regard to the claim of the petitioner for grant of MACP as the

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of MACP in accordance with law at the earliest preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
