ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 23-01-2025 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has stated that though the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the District Magistrate against the orders of the cancellation passed by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Sadar Saran dated 09.03.2019. The District Magistrate, till date, has not passed any orders in the appeal filed by the petitioner. Learned counsel seeks a direction to the District Magistratecum-Collector, Saran at Chapra (Respondent No. 2) to dispose of the Supply Appeal No. 13 to 2019 as expeditiously as possible. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent-State has stated that he has no objection if a

Patna High Court CWJC No.14478 of 2022(3) dt.23-01-2025 2/2 direction is given to the District Magistrate to pass necessary orders in the supply appeal filed by the petitioner in accordance with law.

2. Having regard to the above made submission, the present writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both the parties. The District Magistrate (Respondent No. 2) is directed to dispose of the supply appeal No. 13 of 2019 as expeditiously possible preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of the receipt of the copy of this order, if not already disposed of. In case, the appeal is pending, the petitioner shall be put on notice and given an opportunity of hearing. Any order passed shall be communicated to the petitioner.

3. With the above directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
