2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Kochadhaman P.S. Case No. 205 of 2025 registered for the offences punishable u/s 126(2), 127(2), 115(2), 85, 108, 351(2), 352 and 3 (5) of the B.N.S.
3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner and the other co-accused persons are alleged to have tortured the informant's sister mentally and physically because she has no child out of her wedlock due to which she committed suicide by consuming poison.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.56539 of 2025(2) dt.27-08-2025 2/2 that the petitioner happens to be the father-in-law of the deceased and has falsely been implicated in this case. The petitioner neither demanded any dowry nor tortured the informant's sister. It is further submitted that the husband of the deceased is also in judicial custody. It is next submitted that the petitioner has clean antecedent as stated in para 3 of the bail and he is in custody since 03.06.2025.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the bail petition of the petitioner.
6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the period of custody, the petitioner abovenamed, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court concerned, Kishanganj, in connection with Kochadhaman P.S. Case No. 205 of 2025.
7. The application stands allowed.
