Mr.Amit Kumar Rakesh, APP ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MADHURESH PRASAD ORAL ORDER 02-01-2023 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned APP for the State.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Economic Offences P.S. Case No.04 of 2016 (Special Case No.20 of 2016 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 8/20(b)(ii)(c), 25, 29 of the NDPS Act, pending in the court of learned A.D.J.-IVcum-Special Judge, NDPS, Patna. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that prosecution witnesses have already been examined. The accused has also been examined under Section 313 Cr.P.C. Now the matter is pending for the defence to examine its witnesses. He submits that defence would hardly be taking one month for producing its witnesses. He, however, raises an apprehension that matter may not be concluded expeditiously.

In view of such submission, the bail application for the present is being dismissed with observation that the trial court shall proceed expeditiously to conclude the trial, in accordance with law, without granting unnecessary adjournments.
