In this case, the petitioner is challenging the order dated 19.6.2002 whereby his license has been put under suspension. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the order was passed under the Bihar Trade Article (Licenses Unification) Order, 1984 which has been substituted by another Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2006-07 and, there cannot be suspension for an indefinite period.

Let the petitioner should file an appropriate application before the Licensing Authority bringing all the facts before him for reconsideration.

Patna High Court CWJC No.16332 of 2016 dt.20-03-2017 If such an application is filed by the petitioner before the Licensing Authority, the Authority will be obliged to pass a reasoned order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. With the aforementioned observation and direction, this application is disposed of.
