This writ application has been filed for issuance of direction to respondent authorities for payment of G.P.F. amount. The petitioner's husband, late Giro Prasad Yadav, was appointed as Village Level Worker on 12.5.1965. He died in harness on 10.12.2000. Statement has been made in paragraph 6 of the writ application that the petitioner has got all retiral dues except the final payment of G.P.F.
Counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the State. In paragraph nos. 6 and 7 of the supplementary counter affidavit filed on behalf of respondent nos. 2,4 and 6 stating
Patna High Court CWJC No.17389 of 2016 (3) dt.20-07-2017 2/2 therein that the entire GPF amount including interest on the delayed payment has been paid to the petitioner. Statements to that effect have been made in paragraph nos. 6 and 7 which read as follows:
"6. That on the basis of GPF statements from 1979-80 to 2000-01 (Part) & O.B upto 1978 for Rs.4616/- only, the amount Rs.2,96,561/- only has been authorized vide his office letter no.129 dt. 11.3.2017 giving the interest up to June/2016.
7. That Up-to-date interest is not applicable as per Circular No. 3373 (fd) dt. 06.05.198. Now nothing is pending towards GPF."
Learned counsel for the petitioner admits that the claimed amount has been paid. Hence, this writ application has become infructuous.
