JUSTICE SAMARENDRA PRATAP SINGH ORAL ORDER 07-07-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, State and the informant.

The petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence under Sections 498-A of the Indian Penal Code and 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The petitioner no.1 is mother-in-law and petitioner no. 2 is brother-in-law (Bhaisur) of the complainant. The allegation is that all the accused tortured her for dowry.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.17276 of 2017 (4) dt.07-07-2017 2/2 Learned counsel submits that the petitioners are living separately and have no concern with the affairs of the complainant and her husband.

Counsel for the complainant opposes the prayer for bail.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest or surrender before the court below within four weeks from today, the petitioners, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.5000/- (Five thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Patna in connection with Complaint Case no. 491 C of 2016 subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
