The petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Barachatti (Mohanpur) P.S. Case No. 510 of 2013 registered under Sections 376 of the Indian Penal Code as well as 4, 6 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. Regard being had to the gravity of the offence and the role of the petitioner as alleged in the FIR, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
