The petitioner is a college imparting teaching in education and conducting D.El.Ed. course, inter alia. It is the case of the petitioner that though the college has been granted recognition by the NCTE, the Bihar School Examination Board which is an examining body has not granted affiliation in breach of Section 14(6)(a) of the National Council for Teachers Education Act, 1993.
Patna High Court CWJC No.17604 of 2016(3) dt.03-11-2017 2/2 The matter relates to Academic Session 2016-17. No direction can be given now for considering the petitioner's case for grant of affiliation for the said Academic Session.
This writ application is, however, disposed of with a direction to the respondent Bihar School Examination Board to take a decision on the petitioner's representation for grant of affiliation for the relevant academic session without further loss of time, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order. This disposes of the application.
