2. The petitioner has moved before this Court for grant of anticipatory bail in Forest Case No. 16 of 2023 registered under Sections 41 and 42 of the Indian Forest Act.

3. From bare perusal of the provisions, it is apparent that the punishment provided under Section 42 of the Indian Forest Act is for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, or with both. The First Schedule of the Code of Criminal Procedure which provides for classification of

4. For the aforesaid reason, the anticipatory bail petition is not maintainable and hence the same is dismissed.
