In this case, the petitioner has prayed for directing the appellate authority-cum- District Magistrate, Sasaram to dispose of Forest Appeal no.89/2013. Besides this, a prayer has been made for directing provisional release of seized vehicle. However, at the time of argument, learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer to the extent of directing the appellate authority to dispose of the forest appeal expeditiously.

Keeping in view the fact that the matter pertains to confiscation of vehicle and the appeal is pending since 2013, without calling for filing counter affidavit, the writ petition can be disposed of with observation that the appellate authority i.e. the

Patna High Court CWJC No.13751 of 2015 (2) dt.02-09-2015 2/2 District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram may take appropriate steps, so that appeal i.e. Forest Appeal no.89 /2013 may be disposed of within three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the petitioner shall render full co-operation in early disposal of the appeal. The writ petition stands disposed of.
