JUSTICE HEMANT KUMAR SRIVASTAVA ORAL ORDER 27-10-2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 409, 420, 467, 468, 471 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner was working as field officer in the concerned Bank and it is alleged that Branch Manager in connivance with others sanctioned loan on the basis of forged land possession certificate. In course of investigation, it came to light that petitioner and one Pramod Kumar being field officers were duty bound to verify the genuineness of the documents but they failed to discharge their official duty. Moreover, it appears from the impugned order that concerned Branch Manager has already been admitted to anticipatory bail whereas petitioner is in jail

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.47070 of 2016 (2) dt.27-10-2016 2/2 custody since 07.09.2016.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances as well as submissions of the parties, let the petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Khagaria in connection with Maheshkhunt P.S. Case No. 07 of 2014.
