Patna High Court CWJC No.16280 of 2015 (2) dt.22-01-2016 petitioner, who has described himself as Surpanch of Balauri Gram Panchayat, Block- Mohaniya, Kaimur, Bhabhua, has alleged defalcation of public money by Mukhiya of Balauri Gram Panchayat and has sought for, inter alia, issuance of a writ, in the nature of mandamus, commanding respondent Nos. 1 to 13 to take legal action against respondent No.14 and others. On repeated queries made by this Court, learned counsel for the petitioner could not submit anything to show that the petitioner has no alternative and/or efficacious remedy, more particularly, when he claims to be the Surpanch of the said Panchayat.

In view of the above, this writ application, in the form of Public Interest Litigation, is dismissed.
