The petitioner seeks bail in a case under Section 387 of the Indian Penal Code.
The petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. The informant received a call from Mobile No. 8507608489 and the caller demanded extortion of Rs. 5,00,000/-. It is submitted that the petitioner is neither named in the F.I.R. nor any incriminating article was recovered from the possession of the petitioner. It has come during the course of investigation that SIM No. 8507608489 belongs to one Parmila Devi, who disclosed that she lost her mobile having the aforesaid SIM during the course of cultivation. SIM No. 7352245585 belongs to the petitioner and it has come during the course of investigation that SIM No. 8507608489 was used but no other tangible evidence is collected.
