The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Sonepur P. S. Case No. 69 of 2017 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 384, 323, 307, 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegedly, the petitioner along with 7 unknown persons being armed came and demanded ransom of Rs. 5 lakhs or to purchase stone chips from him, otherwise, the informant will not be allowed to work as contractor in his area. Further the petitioner assaulted Ranjay Manjhi the staff of the informant after pressing him and gave knife blow causing injury and bleeding. The petitioner also caused threats on mobile. Submission is of false implication and that the petitioner was supplying stone chips to the informant and there was some

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.51151 of 2017(3) dt.14-12-2017 2/2 dues and when the dues was demanded he has implicated falsely, Ranjay Manjhi has received simple injury caused by hard blunt substance vide paragraph 32 of the case diary and as such the petitioner deserves sympathetic consideration. Learned APP seriously opposes the prayer of pre-arrest bail.

In the facts and circumstances stated above, this Court is not inclined to grant privilege of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner and accordingly, his such prayer stands rejected. (Jitendra Mohan Sharma, J) avin/- U T
