JUSTICE PARTHA SARTHY ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) Date : 24-07-2023 The petitioner in the above Public Interest Litigation is concerned with the transfer of criminal and civil cases cognizable by the Gram Kutchehry to the Gram Kutchehry from the Civil Courts and further to submit F.I.R. and chargesheet/final report before the Gram Kutchehry.

The High Court of Judicature at Patna, who is the 4th respondent, has filed an affidavit producing a list wherein it is indicated that the cases identified as falling within the jurisdiction of the Gram Kutchehry have been transferred to the Gram Kutchehry as mandated under Section 114 of the Bihar
Patna High Court CWJC No.14801 of 2018 dt.24-07-2023 2/2 Panchayat Raj Act, 2006.
3. We do not think there is any further utility in keeping the writ petition pending. We also notice that the petitioner's counsel was absent when the matter was called in the morning and again when it was taken up for hearing after being kept aside.
4. The writ petition stands disposed of.
